Are you looking for alternative ways to help your horse or dog live a better life, but feeling overwhelmed by all the possibilities?  I am certified to offer the following therapies for your horses or dogs.  I hope these brief explanations will help you to understand a few of your options and how they may benefit your animals.

Massage therapy addresses muscle issues such as tension and toxin build-ups in dogs and horses.  Massage can improve mobility, range of motion, flexibility and even demeanor.  Secondary benefits include increasing blood flow, relieving joint pain, speeding healing after injuries, and calming the animal.

Acupressure is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and helps the body to rebalance energy and restore health.  Some examples of chronic issues that may benefit from acupressure are hoof issues, digestive issues, age-related weight loss, bone and joint problems, breathing problems, and much more.  I currently only offer acupressure for horses.

Aromatherapy is the when pure essential oils from plants are inhaled.  Oils offer a wide-range of therapeutic properties and can have a profound impact on an animal’s overall health.  I incorporate aromatherapy into my massage or acupressure sessions.

Reiki draws on universal energy to benefit both physical and emotional blockages.  Rescued and abused animals tend to respond well to light touch of reiki.  I generally incorporate reiki into massage sessions but I can also offer reiki-only sessions at an owner’s request.

Please keep in mind that massage therapy, acupressure, aromatherapy, and reiki are non-veterinary methods for addressing your animal’s overall wellness.  The practitioner is not a veterinarian, and the sessions cannot replace traditional veterinary care.  You are responsible for consulting with your veterinarian with any questions or concerns you may have prior to scheduling an appointment.  In any emergency situation, please call your veterinarian.
